Support Provision
Floating Support
Support workers provide a housing support service to a number of individuals and families throughout the Clydesdale district. Each service user is allocated a Support Worker whose role is to assess, coordinate and review the housing support service provided. This involves regular contact, weekly meetings, 6 weekly reviews and also provides links with other professionals.
Housing First Model – Young Persons Project
Support Workers provide intensive support to Service Users aged between 16-24 years. Levels of support will be dependant on assessed needs of each individual. Support is given within 6 identified and fully furnished local authority properties.
There is no in-house support in First Stop accommodation.
Moving On
Floating Support
In most cases if in temporary accommodation the project provides resettlement support for a period of time.
Housing First Model – Young Persons Project
Project provides a full and comprehensive resettlement package to all Service Users using this service.
First Stop
The maximum stay in First Stop Accommodation should be 56 days. After this alternative accommodation should be offered or sought in way of Local Authority Tenancy, Housing Association Tenancy or Private Let Tenancy.
Staffing
The project is staffed 24/7 with a team consisting of Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Support Workers, Housing Assistants, Admin Worker and Domestic Worker.
Referral Route
All service users are referred to the project by South Lanarkshire Council’s homeless services.
