Sauchiehall Street
Purpose
Sauchiehall Street is a residential housing support project situated in Glasgow City Centre. This is a privately owned property, and since 1991 it has operated as supported accommodation for homeless people. The project is a partnership between Glasgow City Council and Blue Triangle (Glasgow) Housing Association Ltd. and its main purpose is to prepare service users for sustainable levels of independent living.

The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate for a maximum of 25 persons with the focus of work being vulnerable homeless people aged 18 and over.
Accommodation and Facilities
The project has 5 furnished flats, each containing a communal lounge and shared kitchen, shower rooms and laundry room. There is also a staff flat, with a number of rooms for office and general purpose use.

In addition to the key work service the project also has regular service user meetings to discuss pertinent issues relating to the accommodation and support.
Moving On
Service users usually move on from the project to either Local Authority or Housing Association tenancies although occasionally they move to the Association's own temporary furnished accommodation in Glasgow which has linked resettlement support provided by the Association’s floating support service in Glasgow.time.
Staffing
The project is staffed 24/7 with a team consisting of Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Workers and Cleaner.
