Renfrew High pupil’s presentation on homelessness wins £3,000

S3 pupils from Renfrew High school chose Blue Triangle as their local grassroots charity to raise awareness for in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) which resulted in a £3,000 grant for Blue Triangle’s Renfrew project. Read more

Renfrew celebrates 10th anniversary

Our Renfrew project celebrated their 10th anniversary on Friday 17th February 2017. In the ten years the project has been running it has support 463 homeless people to get back on their feet. Read more

Charity Fight Night raises funds for Blue Triangle Hamilton

Former service user of Hamilton Project, Toto Zaid, recently contacted us with the fantastic news that he was arranging a boxing event to raise funds for the service as a way of saying thank you for the support he received during his year long stay between 2005/2006. Furthermore, Zaid himself was risking life and limb by putting his amateur boxing skills to the test and stepping in to the ring at the event on Saturday 5th March 2016 at the Alona Hotel in Motherwell. SFHA parliament reception: ‘A Fairer and Healthier Scotland: the Housing Association Offer’

The event, sponsored by Jim Eadie MSP, celebrated the SFHA’s 40th anniversary, highlighting its work and that of its members by focusing on raising awareness of the importance of good quality, affordable and energy efficient housing for all. It looked at the difference that good housing makes to people’s lives in terms of health and overall wellbeing. Read more

STV Glasgow News Report 7 Oct 2015

On Wednesday 7 October STV Glasgow aired a news report on Blue Triangle.
In the studio Fiona Stringfellow (Chief Executive) was joined by Alan Sherry (Principal of Glasgow Kelvin College) to talk about a new partnership which will see Blue Triangle deliver the college Community Achievement Awards in house. There is also a video of Diane Murphy, a service user from East Kilbride who took part in the 40th Anniversary event, along with her key worker Nicola Aitken. Diane completed her Community Achievement Awards and was presented with her certificate on the day of the event. Read more

Community Achievement Awards

2015 sees the launch of a new partnership between Blue Triangle and Glasgow Kelvin College. We will be working in partnership to deliver Community Achievement Awards to our service users. This was an initiative which was created by the Community Learning team at the college and through discussions with them we realised these awards would fit perfectly with our service users and give them the flexibility they need that mainstream education routes don’t always allow. As it is our 40th year we thought it time for a change, to our logo that is, our current logo has served us well but we though it time for a fresh, new, energetic look. We hope you like it as much as we do and hopefully you will enjoy the new look site to match.
