Two service users quick actions saved the life of one of our support workers in Lomondside.
On Tuesday 24th May, one of our support workers in our Bonhill project, June O'Nians suffered a heart attack while in the presence of two service users. Marie McColl and Robert Robertson reacted immediately by calling the emergency services which saved June's life. Staff attended the scene shortly after and June was rushed to hospital for emergency care.
If it hadn't been for the quick thinking actions of Marie & Robert, it could've been fatal for June.
June had never been diagnosed with any heart problems previously so it was a shock to us all. We are happy to report that June is making a full recovery and is getting out of hospital this afternoon.
We took a minute today to reward the brave actions of Marie and Robert by presenting them with a small token of our appreciation and say thank you for there heroic efforts.
